            Mrs. Emma R. Johnson, wife of Emil Johnson, died at her home in this city on July 6, after an illness of about two months.  Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Mortenson, and was born in this city almost twenty-five years ago.  She was married to Mr. Johnson four years ago, and is survived by her husband, two children, the youngest but four months old, her parents, and many other relatives.

            The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, at the Danish M.E. church, Rev. Josephson of Neenah officiating, assisted by Rev. Webster Millar and the choir from the First M.E. church of this city.  The interment was at Lakeside cemetery.

            Mrs. Johnson was greatly beloved by all who knew her, and her death will be deeply regretted.

MRS. EMIL JOHNSON

 

            Death entered the home of Emil Johnson and took a loved wife and mother on Saturday morning last. Emma, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans P. Mortensen, and the wife of Emil Johnson the blacksmith on Granite St., in this city.  Deceased was born in this city Oct. 14, 1882.  Married Emel (sic) Johnson July 15, 1902.  The union has been a happy one and was blessed with two children, the first a son of three years and a daughter about three months.  Her disease was dropsy and heart trouble.

            Mrs. Johnson was a greatly beloved by her parents and husband and friends and her loss on account of the dear little children comes with extreme severity.  She was a faithful member of the Danish Methodist church in this city and her pastor, Rev. Josephson of Neenah, was the officiating clergyman, assisted by the Rev. Webster Millar at the funeral, which was held Monday July 8, at 2 p.m.  The choir form the American Methodist church also assisted in the singing.  Interment at Lake View cemetery. Beautiful floral offerings were contributed by many friends.  The husband and parents have the heartfelt sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
