The
death of Solomon G. Krake occurred at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1908, at the residence of his daughter,
Mrs. Harriet A. Davis, Proctor, Minn., where he was visiting during the winter.
S.G. Krake was born Oct. 3, 1826, in Montgomery
county, New York,
and was married to Miss Nancy Alvira Robinson in
1846. In 1872 he moved with his family
to Neenah, where they lived until
1875, when they settled on a farm in Farmington. Mr. Krake and
family returned to Neenah some
years later, where his wife died in 1884.
The deceased was greatly loved by all who knew him, he had been a very
devout Christian for over fifty years and always more interested in the welfare
of others than himself.
He
is survived by all of his children, consisting of Mrs. Maregarett
A. Ottman of Parfreyville,
Morris F. Krake of Little Hope, Horace G. Krake of St. Joseph, Mo.,
Loren W. Krake, of Waupaca and Mrs. Harriett A. Davis
of Proctor, Minn., all of whom were present at the funeral.
The
funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two
o’clock from the residence of L.W. Krake,
Rev. Webster Millar of Waupaca and Rev. E.D. Allen of Parfreyville
officiating. Interment was at the Parfreyville cemetery.
The
pallbearers were three sons, two son-in-laws and one grandson.
