FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CHICAGO AGED SEVENTY-NINE YEARS

 

            The many friends of Christian Larson will be grieved to learn of his death which occurred April 23rd.  After several weeks of illness, he was taken to a hospital and in three weeks such decided improvement was evidenced he returned home.  But in a short time he suffered a relapse and was removed to the St. Anthony Hospital, where he passed away on Tuesday morning.

            Mr. Larson was born in Lolland, Denmark, 1840, and came to America in 1869, settling in Waupaca where he engaged in the tailoring business.  He resided here with his family until 1908, when they removed to Minneapolis, and from thence to Chicago.

            His wife, Catherine, died in December, 1915; William, the second oldest son, passed away in 1914.

            The funeral took place Saturday afternoon from the home of  his daughter, Mrs. John Campbell in Chicago, who for so many weeks has cared for her father devotedly.  He was laid to rest in beautiful Forest Home Cemetery.

            He leaves to mourn his loss six children, Mrs. John C--- Chicago, Mrs. Ella Pett---, Mrs. J.A. Williams, …. Peter, Charles and Lo… grandsons.
