Mrs. Morey, wife of Thomas Morey, died on Thursday evening after a lingering illness of about two years with cancer of the stomach. Her first husband’s name was Martin, and two children were born to them, one being Will Martin of this city and a married daughter in the state of New York. There are no children with her present husband. They were formerly members of the Home but of late years have lived in the city.

The funeral was held at ten o’clock on Saturday from the Catholic church, of which she was a member, Father Mortell officiating.

Mary Matilda Morey, wife of Thomas Morey, died at her home in this city on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 10 o’ clock a.m. at the age of 75 years from cancer of the stomach. She was born in Canada on Sept. 15^th, 1832, and is survived by her husband, one daughter living in New York and one step-son, Will Martin, of this city.

The funeral was held from the Roman Catholic church on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. Father Martell officiating with interment at Lake View cemetery.

MRS. THOMAS MOREY

Mrs. Morey, the wife of Thomas Morey, died Thursday night after a lingering illness of two years with cancer of the stomach. She was a lovely Christian woman, member of the Catholic church. Her first husband’s name was Martin, there being a son, Will Martin, of this city and a married daughter in the state of New York. There were no children by her present husband.

Mr. Morey has been a most faithful nurse to her during her long and painful illness.

They were formerly members of the Home, but have lived in this city several years.

Funeral at 10 o’clock Saturday, Father Mortell officiating.
