JOHN WILLIAM OSBORN
Death came to John William Osborn of this city Wednesday, April 28, 1926, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Appleton, after being confined there for about two weeks. The end came as a result of carbon-monoxide gas poison suffered in his garage this winter, and enemia.
The deceased was a well-known and respected citizen of this city, having for a number of years conducted a garage near his home, having come here from the town of Lanark.
Born on July 27, 1873, a son of Edward and Alice Osborn, he married Julia Leahy of Lanark, April 26, 1901, who died seven years later, after which he came to this city to reside. There are left ot mourn his loss two sons, Arthur and Carroll of this city; two daughters, Gladys of Augusta and Clara, who has been attending Oshkosh business college, and his mother, Mrs. Alice Osborn who had kept house and help raise the children since the death of his wife.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30th, at 10:00 o’clock in the forenoon from St. Patrick’s church in the Town of Lanark, Rev. James Rauch officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s cemetery in Lanark. The pall bearers will be Mike Hopkins and William Hewitt of this city; James McTigue, Pat Riley, Joe Sweetella and Dan Hickey of Lanark, all of whom are old time friends of the deceased.

WAS VICTIM OF PERNICIOUS ANAEMIA
FUNERAL FRIDAY MORNING FROM LANARK CHURCH
John W. Osborne died at St. Elizabeth’s hospital at Appleton Wednesday morning after an illness of several weeks, a victim of pernicious anaemia after transfusion of healthy blood from a son had failed to effect a cure.
Deceased was born in the town of Lanark July 27, 1872, where he resided with the exception of the time he has resided in Waupaca since 1915 and about one year at an earlier period
April 27, 1899, deceased was married to Julia Leahy of Lanark and to this union four children were born: Arthur of this city, Gladys, who teaches at Augusta, Carroll of this city and Clara, who is a student at the Oshkosh Business College. The mother passed away Feb. 2, 1907. Mrs. Osborne, mother of the deceased, who is prostrated with grief at this untimely death, has for years been the homekeeper of the family and her good offices are reflected in the lives of her grandchildren who are entering upon young manhood and young womanhood.
Deceased was a machinist and had built up a successful business and had a new shop adjacent to his home on Franklin Street. His industry and thrift, his kind consideration for his family and his honorable dealing with associates gave him a standing of a worthy citizen of the community.
The funeral will be held Friday morning at St. Patrick’s church at Lanark, the Reverend Father Rourch officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery of Lanark.
