Sam Pinkerton Dies In Fond du Lac, Wed.

 

            Samuel S. Pinkerton, 47, town of Lind farmer, died Wednesday at St. Agnes hospital in Fond du Lac of mesenteric thrombosis following an appendicitis operation March 29.

            Mr. Pinkerton was born in Waupaca Dec. 4, 1892, and had always made his home in this vicinity.  Immediate survivors include his wife, the former Blanche Thompson, and a son, James Samuel, at home.

            Rev. Edward H. Langdon of the Methodist church will conduct services at the Holly funeral home Friday, 2 p.m.

Funeral Friday for Samuel Pinkerton

 

            Samuel S. Pinkerton, town of Lind farmer, was born Dec. 4, 1892, a son of the late John and Mary Pinkerton, and died Wednesday, Apr. 10, of mesenteric thrombosis following an acute appendicitis operation, at St. Agnes hospital, Fond du Lac.  Mr. Pinkerton had been confined at the hospital for 12 days.

            Sept. 14, 1918 he was united in marriage to Blanche Thompson at Waupaca and they were the parents of one son, James Samuel, 10, who with his mother is left to mourn. Other survivors are four brothers: Altai and Ray of Waupaca, Fred of Albany, N.Y., and Dr. Harold of Ironwood, Mich., and three sisters (Fiah) Mrs. Albert Larson, Neenah, Miss Carried Pinkerton, Rhinelander, and (Effa) Mrs. Hugh Johnson, Sheridan.

            Funeral services were held Friday at he Holly funeral home, 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Edward H. Langdon, pastor of the Methodist church.  Active pallbearers were Wm. Jensen, Frank Davidson, Clark Redfield, Ernest Peterson, Elmer Winkler and Louis Schroeder; and honorary pallbearers included Dr. John Pelton, Henry Nielsen, Harold Lund, Mearle Pennebecker, Allen Schroeder and Claude Johnson.  Interment was in Lakeside cemetery.

            Out of town attendants at the services were A.C. Hanson and daughter, Mrs. Hanford Egeland, Reedsburg; Dr. and Mrs. W.J. Pinkerton, Bessemer, Mich.; Dr. and Mrs. H.A. Pinkerton, ironwood, Mich.; Miss Carrie Pinkerton, Rhinelander; Fred Pinkerton, Albany, N.Y.; Mrs.  Evelyn Kelley, Antigo; Mrs. K.R. Thompson and Carl Thompson, Amherst; A. R. Thompson, Iola; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Olson and son, Donald, Scandinavia, and Felix Buza, Nelsonville.
