Another old citizen of Waupaca County passed away on Monday morning – Mr. WM. S. PITCHER, at the age of 79 years. He has lived in this place for the past twenty-five years, and has always stood high in the estimation of people who knew him. Mr. Pitcher was a member of the Masonic fraternity – a truly “ancient” member, for it is said he joined the order during the MORGAN excitement, over forty years ago. He was a charter member of the Waupaca Lodge. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon under the auspices of the Masons. The services were conducted at the Methodist church. Rev. W.H. THOMPSON preached a brief sermon.
