Vol. Inf., remained until mustered out at the close of the war, then returned home.  He worked at his trade some and at farming.  His companion died about five year ago, since which time his home has principally been with his daughter and family.  By his death eight sons and one daughter survive to mourn for a most kind and considerate father.  They are:  George, Cedar Falls, Iowa; frank and Stacy, Dickinson, Ia.; Will, Ogema, Wis.; Bert and Guy, McHenry, N. Dak; Ed and Fred, Neshkoro, Wis.; Ida – Mrs. Sam Taylor, Waupaca.  All were present at the funeral except George, Guy, Stacy and Frank who for various reasons were unable to come.  Rev.
