Mrs. J.C. Rasmussen

Mrs. J.C. Rasmussen went to her reward on the evening of May 21, 1907, after a long and severe struggle with cancer of the liver and intestines.

Miss Marie J. Peterson was born in Denmark Aug. 13, 1858, coming to this country in early life she was married at Oshkosh Nov. 25, 1882. In Feb. of 1885 they moved to Ostrander where they have since resided.

One child preceded her to that great beyond and six are now left with the father to mourn her demise. Her acquaintances were her friends and during her long illness she was particularly noted for her enduring patience and pleasant disposition. The funeral services were held from the house on Friday p.m., Rev. Pind officiating. Among those who followed her to her last resting place was a brother, Mr. P.L. Rasmussen of Waupaca and a number of intimate friends.
