MRS. SCOTT DIED
TUESDAY MORNING
Suffered a Stroke of
Paralysis Early Tuesday Morning and Died at Two
o’Clock
Mrs.
Winfield Scott suffered a stroke of Paralysis about one o’clock Tuesday morning and died about an hour later
at her home in this city.
Sara
Cameron was born in Augusta, Canada,
September 3rd, 1827. From there she removed with her father, the
late James Cameron, to Attica, N.Y.,
where in 1845 she was married to the late Winfield Scott. In 1850 they came to Wisconsin and resided in
Appleton, Wis., for five years, coming to Waupaca in 1855, where she has since
continuously resided together with her husband, Winfield Scott who died in
1906.
She
leaves to mourn her loss two sons, Walter Scott and M.B. Scott; two daughters,
Nellie and Annie of this city and one daughter, Mrs. Jean S. Goether of Baltimore,
Md.
The
funeral will be held from the family residence on Friday at two o’clock, Rev. Webster Millar officiating, with
interment in Lakeside cemetery.

Mrs.
Sarah Scott, the widow of the late Winfield Scott, died at her residence,
Tuesday morning at two o’clock, at
the age of eighty years. Her maiden name
was Sarah Cameron. She was born in Augusta,
Canada, Sept. 23rd, 1827, and was
married to Winfield Scott in Attica, N.Y.,
October 21, 1845. Mr. and Mrs. Scott moved to Appleton
in 1850 and five years later to Waupaca, where she has lived ever since.
There
are two sons, Walter Scott and M.B. Scott, of this city, and three daughters,
Mrs. Jane Gather of Baltimore, Md., and the Misses Nellie and Anna Scott of
this city, surviving.
The
funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m.
from the residence.
