Ruben Dan Smith was born in Lockheaven, Penn., on March 9, 1868, and died at his home near Ogdensburg on Monday, May 24, 1926, at the age of 58 years, two months and fifteen days.

Mr. Smith had been a resident of Waupaca county since 1879. In 1904 he was united in marriage to Bessie Burns, who died five years ago. There is left to mourn their loss six brothers, William of Exland, Millard of Washington, Frank and Leslie of Park Falls, Charles and Enoch of Waupaca County, Mrs. Minnie Peterson of Idaho, Mrs. Mable Smith of Park Falls, and Mrs. Eva Johnstown of Washington, besides many other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held on Wednesday from the First Baptist church in this city, Rev. W.W. Woodward officiating. Interment was in Lakeside cemetery.
