J.N. VAN EPPS SUCCUMBS TO GRIM REAPER

DIED WEDNESDAY MORNING AFTER SIX WEEKS ILLNESS

WAS A MOST PATIENT SUFFERER

 

            James N. Van Epps died at his home in this city from hardening of the arteries Wednesday morning, April 14, after six weeks of intense suffering.

            Deceased was born at Weyauwega Feb. 5, 1859, and when a boy in his teens his parents, Andrew J. and Jane Van Epps, moved to Waupaca, the former to hold the office of sheriff.

            In September, 1894, deceased was married to Kittie Lytle, who survives and who was constantly employed in making the patient as comfortable as possible.  A brother, Ed H. Van Epps, of Milwaukee, and an uncle, P.L. Van Epps of this city, are among surviving relatives.

            Mr. and Mrs. Myron Lytle of Minneapolis, a brother and sister-in-law of Mrs. Van Epps, have sent word that they will attend the funeral which will be held Friday at two o’clock at the residence, Rev. Frank C. Richardson officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeside cemetery.
