J.A.Versen Dies at Milwaukee; Lived in Waupaca Years Ago

Geo. H. Nordvi received a telegram announcing the death of Joseph A. Versen, who died in a Milwaukee hospital Saturday afternoon, Feb. 19, at the age of seventy years.

Deceased engaged in the mercantile business in Waupaca as successor of the firm of Jeffers and Hudson in 1894 and continued in the business a dozen years or more.

The remains will be taken to Monroe, Missouri, for interment.

The widow and two daughters, Mrs. Bailey Turner of Monroe, Mo., and Mrs. Frank H. Patterson of Shreveport, Tenn., are members of the family remembered by many residents of Waupaca who knew the Versens while they resided in Waupaca.
