SUICIDE
News was received here this morning of the suicide of Albert Weisenborn, formerly of this city, which occurred at Grand Rapids, at about six o’clock. A telephone message stated the facts as follows:
Albert, who had been working as bartender there for some time, got up as usual, and was sitting in the room. He called his wife, who had just arisen, to him, and she sat upon his lap. Suddenly he picked up a revolver and shot himself through the heart, death ensuing instantaneously. The flash from the revolver set fire to Mrs. Weisenborn’s nightdress, but she was not burned seriously.
An inquest was being held this morning. The remains will be brought to this city for burial on Friday morning at eleven o’clock.
Albert was twenty-three years old, was a son of W.P. Weisenborn of this city, and has several brothers and sisters here. He formerly worked for Nels Gunderson for some time. He was well liked while here. His wife was a Grand Rapids girl, who at the time kept a millinery store in the Calkins block this city.
