            Mrs. John West died at her home in the Third Ward on Sunday, after an illness of several months, of cancer of the liver.  She had lived in the city but about a year and a half, coming here shortly after her husband died, in 1905, from Brookings, S. Dak.  She was nearly fifty-five yeas old, and greatly esteemed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Eliza Faulks, a sister, Mrs. C.A. Van Patten,  three brothers, William and Robert Faulks of this city, and John Faulks of the town of Waupaca, a daughter, Amy, and son, Earl, who lives in Lismore, Minn.

            The funeral was held from the house on Tuesday morning, Rev. A.T. Erickson officiating, and interment being at Lakeside cemetery.

Mrs. Kate West

 

            Mrs. Kate West, widow of the late John E. West, died at her home in this city on Sunday after a long illness from cancer of the liver at the age of 65 years.  She was born in England on July 25, 1852, and when about three years of age came to this country with her parents and settled in New York state, later coming to Wisconsin where she has since resided.

            She is survived by a daughter, Amy, of this city and son, Earl, of Lismore, Minn., also by her mother, Mrs. Eliza Faulks, one sister, Mrs. Chas. Van Paten, and three brothers, William, Robert and John Faulks of this city.

            The funeral was held from the family residence on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. A.T. Erickson officiating, with interment in Lakeside cemetery.
