JS WILLSON DIES OF HEART TROUBLE SATURDAY EVENING
J.S. Willson died at his home on Bailey Street of heart trouble Saturday evening, Jan. 18, after a year of poor health and six weeks’ illness. Interment was at Lakeside cemetery Tuesday, Rev. Anthony Jacobs officiating. His brother and his brother’s wife, Dr. and Mrs. C.G. Willson, of Chicago, arrived Saturday evening but were unable to remain for the funeral. He is survived by his wife and two children: Mrs. J.Y. Hamilton, Sioux City, Iowa and B.W. Willson of this city; also by two brothers, R.A. Willson, of Spokane, Wash.,, and Dr. C.G. Willson of Chicago, and one sister, Mrs. W.H. Washburn, of Milwaukee.
Deceased was born in Goderich, Canada, Sept. 30, 1853, coming to Marquette, Mich., with his parents two years later. He spent the most of is life in construction work on the iron ranges of Michigan and Wisconsin. He was married May 9, 1882, to Annie W. Washburn at Florence, Wis. He came to Waupaca in 1904, and has since engaged in general farming and poultry raising.
