            Mrs. Charles Wood died at her home on Division Street, Third Ward, on Saturday afternoon last, after a lingering illness.  Mrs. Wood was born in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1858, and came here with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horton, in 1860, living here ever since.  She is survived by her husband, Charles Wood, no children having been born to them.  The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, from the house.  Rev. A.T. Erickson of the First Baptist church officiating, and interment being at Lakeview cemetery.

            Mrs. Chas. Wood died at her home in this city on Saturday afternoon after an illness covering several months. The funeral was held from the family residence on Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. A.T. Erickson officiating, with interment in Lakeside cemetery.

            Dorothy Horton Wood was born in January, 1858, at Des Moines, Ia.  When two years old she came with her parents to Waupaca to live.  Her life has been spent on the spot where the family settled on coming here.  Mrs. Wood was a member of the United Brethern Church which in the early years of the city had an organization here.

            Besides her bereaved husband, a sister, Mrs. Mary Rice of Almond, is left to mourn her loss. The family have the sympathy of their many friends.
