Dobbins George01
Waupaca Republican
July 30, 1908
Geo.
H. Dobbins the Fremont merchant,
village chairman, potato buyer and all around business man was in the city
Monday and made the Republican a pleasant call.
Seven years ago after teaching the village school in Fremont,
Mr. Dobbins purchased the general store of H. Randle. He has in that time engaged in the potato
business, the machinery business and has twice found it necessary to enlarge
his store building. On the day in
question he started in company with L.N. Starks of Chicago
and going from Fremont to Dale,
Hortonville, New London, Royalton,
they arrived in Waupaca at three o’clock,
making the run in Mr. Dobbin’s auto car.
In addition they transacted business in all the places named and completed
arrangements for Mr. Dobbins to take charge of the potato business of Mrs.
Starks at Dale and New London
stations in addition to that of his own at Fremont
station.
