SENATOR BROWNE ON STATE PARK BOARD

Is Appointed by Governor Davidson

Has Supervision of State and Interstate Park

 

            Governor Davidson has appointed State Senator E.E. Browne of Waupaca one of the three members of the State Park Board created by Chapter 495 of the Laws, of 1907.  This commission under the law, has the charge and supervision of all State and Interstate Parks and reports to the next Legislature making recommendations regarding the requirements of any new parks, the extension of existing parks and any other recommendations they shall deem necessary.  It is also the duty of this commission to investigate and consider the propriety and the desirability of securing and preserving all points of historic interest and of natural beauty.  The position is wholly an honorary one, the traveling expenses, etc., of the members being paid by the state.
