Bull Attacks Farmer and Injures Him
William Strange living west of the city in the vicinity of the John Erickson farm, was set upon by his herd sire, which was loose in the barn yard. The animal being a large Holstein, pinned Mr. Strange against the barn fracturing several ribs. His son came to his relief, charging the bull with a pitch fork, where upon Mr. Strange was able to get to safety. Efforts to get the animal into his stall proved fruitless and it was then decided to shoot him before anybody else should fall victim to the fierce charges.
