TRIBUTE IS GIVEN TO JUDGE WEBB
Has Built Up Enviable Reputation for Judicial Fairness
In speaking of the candidacy of Judge Webb, to succeed himself, the Oshkosh Northwestern says:
“Probably no circuit judge of the state is more widely known, or more generally respected, trusted and esteemed than Judge Webb. He has served in his present capacity for more than twenty-four years, and during that time has built up an enviable reputation for judicial fairness and honesty, sterling personal integrity, and careful painstaking attention to the numerous duties of his honorable office. Of course it is true Judge Webb is ‘getting along in years’ but at the same time he possesses every necessary qualification for giving he same good service as circuit judge for a number of years to come, with the additional advantage that his long experience should make him still more valuable in this position and capacity. And as the people of the Seventh circuit realize and appreciate these facts full well, and a large proportion of them are personally acquainted with Judge Webb and esteem him for his true worth, it is probable he will be given the usual endorsement at the polls in April, insuring his retention in office for another term.”
