Last Saturday evening a goodly number of potato growers, members of the Waupaca County Potato Growers’ Association, met in the County Board  rooms at the court house, to arrange for the proposed Waupaca County Exhibit at the State Convention to be held at Marinette, November 17-18.

Considerable time was given to the discussion fohte manner in which the exhibit was to be gotten up; it was finally decided to accept a contribution of a certain quantity of potatoes – certified stock – to make up the proposed exhibit.

On motion of Mr. Boyce, the chair, Soren Jensen, sitting, appointed the following committee of four, to act with himself in securing and having charge of Waupaca County exhibit at the State Show:  H.C. Frihart, O.C. Woodward, Fred Jorgensen, and Soren Hoy.

The finances of the Association at the present time are as follows.  At the beginning of the meeting the treasurer’s books showed a balance of nine-nine dollars and seventy-seven cents, ($99.77).  The receipts of the evening were four dollars and fifty cents, ($4.50), for dues, making a total of one hundred four dollars and twenty-seven cents, ($104.27).  The bill of the secretary, covering expense of advertising, printing and postage since our meeting of March 27th, amounted to twenty-seven dollars and twenty-nine cents, ($27.29), was read and allowed, which leaves the present balance in the hands of the treasurer, seventy-six dollars and ninety-eight cents ($76.98).

We have before us a letter from Secretary D.C. Hayward, during that every member of the Association devote as much time as possible to the selection of his stock and to get in touch with some member of the above named committee, to expedite the work of that committee.
