POTATO MARKET
The potato market in this city opened last week with the usual amount of animation on the part of buyers.
The quality of the potatoes is about the average and the earl crop was not injured much by the drouth but in a few fields. If the frost does not interfere the late crop promise to be very good. As far as can be learned the acreage planted is about the same as last year. The firms represented on the streets now are:

About forty loads were marketed here on Wednesday and about eight car loads were shipped up to this morning.
