Railroad Workers01
Waupaca Post
October 3, 1907
Contractor McGrath, who is building the Waupaca Green Bay railway, is finding it hard to keep men when farmers are offering them $2 a day and board to dig potatoes. But for the scarcity of men, the road would have been nearly finished by this time. About ten men quit this week. The crew has left the sink hole, and it is ready for the steel. It is confidently expected that trains will be running before another month rolls by.
