NEW RAILROAD WILL BE HERE TOMORROW

Tracks Will Reach Waupaca Tomorrow

Round House is Being Constructed

The construction gang on the Waupaca Green Bay Railway will have the track laid into this city tomorrow.  It was intended to celebrate this event by running an excursion from this city to Green Bay on Sunday, but owing to the fact that the Green Bay and Western extra equipment is in the shops being put in condition for the summer business, it was impossible to get cars and the excursion was postponed until a later date.

A round house is being built near the Waupaca E.L. & Ry. Co.’s sand pit, which will be completed the last of the week.

Application has been made by the company to the state commission and it is expected that they will be able to handle freight and also make a passenger schedule which will be in effect right about Christmas.

The depot is about completed and will be adorned by a handsome gold leaf sign, donated by the A.G. Nelson Lumber Co.

NELSON PAINTING CO’S GIFT

The Republican takes pleasure in correcting an over-sight in regard to the gift of a sign to the Waupaca Green Bay Railroad.  The Nelson Painting Co. were the donors.  The sign is of beautiful gold leaf on a black background and the letters stand out in bold relief.
