Wisconsin Banks – Their Securities.
We find in the Milwaukee Sentinel, of last evening, the following statement by the Bank Comptroller, of the value of the securities of the several Banks of this State, in the New York market at the present time. It is a copy from the official report just made to the Legislature. This table shows that some of the banks recently discredited by the bankers convention at Milwaukee, are in much better condition than others not so discredited.
The additional security of the personal bond of the stockholders may in some cases, increase the value of the notes; but generally their value depends upon these securities:
