THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN
November 13, 1896
Exchange Bank Transferred.
Wednesday morning many of Mr. I. M. Dakin’s friends and patrons were surprised to see posted on the doors of the Exchange bank that the business had been transferred to the Waupaca County National and that all accounts due to or from the Exchange Bank would be settled by the County National.
Mr. Dakin’s object in closing up his affairs in this city was because of tempting offers elsewhere, one an offer of position and stock in the Ripon water works plant. He will remain in Waupaca awhile to close up his business before accepting any other position, and the family will remain in Waupaca for the present. I. M. Dakin has many friends in this city who regret his departure and while they would hope that he might cast his lines among us in business and social circles, they will extend to him their best wishes wherever he may locate.
