THE WAUPACA COUNTY POST
February 12, 1891
National Bank of Waupaca
The
leading financial institution of the county is the National Bank of Waupaca,
under the management of R. N. Roberts President, and W. B. Baker, Cashier.
Having
a capital of $500,000 and large deposits, it can furnish plenty of funds for
the requirements of business.
Notwithstanding
the failure of the old Waupaca Bank which naturally has caused a feeling of
distrust among farmers, their deposits have steadily gained and are now
considerable over the one hundred thousand dollar mark.
The
business is conducted on a conservative plan and the institution can be
recommended as a safe place for farmers, merchants, town treasurers and others
to do their business, for among its stock holders are wealthy and influential
men who stand ready to back it for any amount.
