BUILDS NEW BRICK KILNS

Kilns With Capacity of 85,000 Bricks Built by Gmeiner

A large kiln with a capacity of 85,000 bricks has recently been erected at the brick yard one mile southeast of this city.  Mr. Gmeiner will put up two more new kilns as soon as time permits.  Nearly one-third of the bricks placed in the old style kilns were usually spoiled, through being over- or under-heated, but these new style kilns are so constructed that the entire lot of bricks is uniformly heated.

It is the intention of Mr. Gmeiner to install machinery in the near future so he can manufacture tile, sewer pipe, and marbles.
