March 12, 1886
J.W. Evans is fixing up, with the aid of carpenter Green, his warehouse and salesroom, at his woolen mill, in good shape. Mr. Evans does a nice little business in Waupaca and pays out for labor about $5,000 per year.
John Ogden formerly a Waupaca editor, has purchased the Antigo Forward and will change the style of the make-up to be eight columns folio – like this sheet, and the name back to Republican. Mr. Ogden is an able editor, a good printer, and a gentleman well qualified to give the people of Langlade County a live local papers.
