WAUPACA REPUBLICAN

FALLGATTER & FISHER
Their fine flour and feed mills greatly improved and they are busy as bees.
Going by Messrs. Fallgatter & Fisher’s Roller Mills Wednesday evening about six o’clock the REPUBLICAN man noticed the building nicely illuminated with incandescents and all "the wheels were turning around" at a lively rate turning out flour and feed. Upon inquiry it was learned that they had just installed their own electric light plant to supplement the oil lamps heretofore used. They have things now in fine shape not only in that particular but their mill has been put in first trim for making the best grades of patent flour, as well as turning out feed.
They have also put in a bran packing and filling device which fills and packs a hundred pound sack in a minute all ready for tying. These enterprising millers are bound to make a success of the Waupaca mills.
Another evidence of improvement to increase the water power there is combined work of Messrs. Fallgatter and Fishers and the Central Lumber Co., through Shearer and Jardine. The dam is being enlarged to the south nearer the Iron Bridge which gives more water capacity and eliminates the long race way or flume to carry the water to the new planing mill when completed to take the place of the mill which burned June 30th.
The new planing mill foundation is about all in and is laid right down to bed-rock ina substantial way to make permanent the model structure that will be built very soon.
