Lighthouse Under New Owners
Lighthouse Printing & Office Supply in downtown Waupaca has new owners – Benjamin Sasse and Scott Kolpien.
Sasse, originally from the Weyauwega-Fremont area, worked at The Lighthouse for two years. Kolpien, a native of the Eau Claire area, was employed with Jones Publishing in Iola for six years, and has owned and operated Impact Publications in Waupaca for the past five years.
John and Jan Fink, proprietors of The Lighthouse for over 25 years, are retiring but will remain with the business for several months during the transition process.
According to Sasse, Lighthouse will continue to offer the same products and services, including office supply sales and deliveries and a Federal Express and United Parcel Service shipping service.
One change will involve expanding the firm’s copy center to become a full-service print and copy center.
"We will be providing full-color copy capabilities, full-service printing and professional graphic layout and design," Kolpien said.
"We are also looking forward to adding additional lines of office supplies and other value-added services," Sasse added.
According to Kolpien, the acquisition is a good fit for Impact Publications. Impact currently publishes a variety of monthly newsletters in the human services field, and several newsletters and brochures for other companies. Impact’s employees have more than 40 years of publishing experience with expertise in printing, writing, editing and graphic arts.
