BOAT MANUFACTORY
The Neola Boat Works at Indian Crossing
J.A. Terrio and George Ratcliffe who last year conducted a boat factory at Ogdensburg have decided to get right "on deck" as it were and move their base of operations at the Chain o’ Lakes; purchased a lot near Indian Crossing on the north east shore of Columbian Lake built a factory and are right at work. "The Neola Boat Works" is the name of their factory and they will build launches, row boats and canoes to order, also repair and paint bots. Their factory is handy because parties can try boats before buying without effort or get them repaired taking them away from the lakes. Mr. Terrio is manager of the enterprise and George Ratcliffe is secretary. They no doubt build up a good trade. The placed one of their Launches on the Chain last year and Merriam’s new boat is one of their make.
