ENGINEERS PRONOUNCE STEWART TRACTOR AND TRAILER "LAST WORD"
On Monday of this week, the Stewart Tractor Company of Wisconsin had photographs taken on Main Street of one of their tractor and trailer. One wheel of the tractor was driven up a one-foot curb onto the sidewalk to show the great flexibility of the tractor. This tractor is capable of going over a curb eighteen inches high. These photographs were taken to send to several of the logging companies throughout the state, as many inquiries and prospects are now being received at the Stewart Company’s office, 221 S. Main Street, for their products.
Engineers who have visited Waupaca of late pronounce the Stewart products the "last word" in tractors and trailers, being of the best and most simple construction on the market today.
Materials and steel casting are now being received regularly and are being delivered to the temporary factory of the company located in Hansen’s Machine Shop.
Work on the foundation of the Stewart Company’s new factory, east of the Soo depot, is progressing rapidly and it will not be long before the company will be ready to manufacture the tractors and trailers in the new quarters.
