WAUPACA HAS NEW HOSPITAL
Dedication Services Held Wednesday,
Jan. 6, by Rev. J.P. Naarup
The Waupaca Hospital and Sanitarium was opened for surgical work Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock. Shortly before the first operation was performed, in the presence of the superintendent, Mr. Fredriksen, Chas. A. Hansen, a representative of the patient’s relatives, and the Drs. Gelmett, C.W. Andrews, Theo Larsen, and the nurse, Miss Klug, the place was dedicated by Rev. Naarup with the following words: “We have come to dedicate this place in the name of Jesus, the Greatest Healer, not for the benefit of doctors, but for the benefit and healing of suffering humanity. With due respect to your knowledge, skill and experience, we will remind you, that the real healing must come from God, the giver of life, and that unto Him belongs the honor.” A blessing was invoked upon the place and the work to be done there.
