THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN January 23, 1908 START A NEW FACTORY Two of Waupaca’s Prominent
Business Men Establish a New Industry A
firm known as the “Enterprise Manufacturing Company” has been organized to
manufacture and market a patented article known as the Handy Pie and Cake
Lifter which is already well known on the market. The firm consists of J. E.
Cristy and T.W. Simcox and they have already leased the brick building on Main
Street now occupied by N. P. Peterson as a Blacksmith shop. Power machinery will be installed to meet
the growing demand for the article. About ten hands will be employed at the
start and more will be added later. The
firm contemplates the manufacture of other novelties may be developed in the
near future. The
business of Simcox and Williams will be in no way affected by this new
enterprise and will remain in charge of T. W. Simcox as heretofore. |
