THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN

April 6, 1883

Robert Pinkerton will add one more to the substantial growth of Waupaca, and will build a thorough fire proof brick building on the lot north of Mr. Nordvi’s store, Masonic block.  The building will be two stories high and one hundred and five feet deep.  It will have a solid iron front with plate glass windows.  The roof will be of tin with a layer of brick and mortar over and under it making it impossible for fire to penetrate the roof from adjoining fire. Mr. Royal Green will superintend the construction of the building and will commence at once.
