WAUPACA
REPUBLICAN March
22, 1889 The new planing mill of A.G. Nelson
& Co., is assuming its natural proportions, covering 60 x 64 feet of
space. There will be a pulley and shaft
in the second story of the main part, which will be driven by a wire cable
power from the electric light dam, 68 rods away. The arrangement of the room will be such that teams can drive
into the mill and unload or load, and have ample room to turn around and go out
again. The arrangement of ample sheds,
for storing dressed lumber, lath, shingles, etc., and railroad tracks to
facilitate the reception of stock by cars, is admirable. It will be as a complete an establishment as
there is in the country. |
