THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN August 1, 1890 The time will come some time when the Methodist church will do away with the itinerary system. Rev. Perry Millar has been pastor of the M. E. church in this city the past five years and has built up a reputation and established himself in the affections of the people of this city such as few men ever attain. Now when he is beginning to make his influence felt and becoming a tower of strength for good in this community, the system which only allows a minister to stay in one place five years, puts him away among strangers and a stranger in his place. However hard each one may strive to do so, it will take a long time for either to attain the position to do good which Mr. Millar now occupies. |
