THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN November 25, 1904 NEW ST. MARK’S CHURCH. Contractor Gminer has the stonework all completed on the
new St. Marks’ Episcopal Church and now the masons are plastering. The roof and tin work on the gutters and
other places is all finished and now the roof to the tower is being
placed. The Church has a very imposing
appearance on the exterior and the interior will no doubt be equally as
attractive. It was very thoughtful on the part of the building
committee and a granite plate has been placed in a proper position in the front
of the building with a cross and the date “1904” and words “St. Mark’s Church”
beautifully polished. It was made by T.
W. Davidson at the Waupaca Granite Quarry. Rev. George Hirst and the building committee has been
untiring in their efforts to get this church erected and they hope by Christmas
or at least at the commencement of the New Year to have it dedicated. |
