WAUPACA REPUBLICAN February 19, 1894 A NEW RECTOR The people of St. Mark’s have decided that for the welfare of the church and the good of the city they should have a regular installed Rector of this Parish; they have made at last a happy hit and secured the Rev. Burlson, a talented young man recently ordained in New York. He is expected about Easter. It is understood that Rev. Burlson is to bring his bride with him, so St. Mark’s will have the assistance of two ore instead of one. Episcopal Notes The Venerable Arch-deacon Schepeler of Wausau will officiate in St. Mark’s church inWaupaca, Sunday, Feb. 18. Services will be held as follows: Holy Communion 7:30 a.m. Morning Prayer and Sermon 11:30 a.m. Holy Communion 11:30 a.m. Evening Prayer and Sermon 7:30 p.m. It is hoped every member and friend of the Episcopal church will come out to these services. Rev. Schepeler has been here several times, and those who have heard him once will certainly not forget these services and also to tell their friends. Special music and singing is being arranged for the 18th. |
