WAUPACA
REPUBLICAN January
18, 1895 This (Friday morning) the most of
the curlers arrived home. It seems
Williams’ rink was ahead of everything almost up to yesterday noon when they
got so interested in the game they failed to go to dinner. The protracted playing and Williams’ giving
out in the afternoon lost him a game to Chandler, thus knocking his rink out of
the Pfister trophy. The belated
bonspeilers will come home between now and Sunday, but with what success as to
the capture of trophies or prizes will be known later. Williams had won a silver “milk” flask for
making the largest number of points in the Pfister event. |
