Bonspiel at Portage

 

            Two rinks, Williams’ and Knudsen’s, of the Waupaca curlers left Monday morning for Portage as follows:

            The Sentinel of Wednesday, in giving a list of the games shows that Waupaca gets to the front:

            PORTAGE, Wis., Feb. 13. – The annual bonspiel of the Portage Curling Club opened this morning with cold weather and good ice.  Thirty-three rinks entered from Baraboo, Reedsburg, Manston, Lodi, Poynette, Waupaca, Cambria, Pardeeville, Dekorra, Arlington and Portage. Scores of today’s play, names of skips only being given, were:

            Huston, Cambria, 16; beat Sevilla, Lodi, 15; Williams, Waupaca, 22; Porter, Portage, 6; Knudsen, Waupaca, 20; Miller, Pardeeville, 13; Reedall, Dekorra, 16; Britt, Portage, 12; Weatherby, Mauston, 13; Baillies, Cambria, 12; Ballies, Pardeeville, 20; Stewart, Mauston, 10; Marshall, Dekorra, 14; Roberts, Pardeeville 12; Jaajar, Portage, 15; Selleck, Baraboo, 11; McFaridge, Baraboo, 25; Schneller, Portage, 11.
