WAUPACA
POST January
17, 1895 WANTED ONE
HUNDRED BRAVE MEN TO JOIN IN THE SEARCH FOR
FOUR OF OUR MOST PROMINENT CITIZENS. THE
LAST HEARD OF THEM WAS IN MILWAUKEE LAST TUESDAY. The J.P. Knudsen rink is stuck in
Milwaukee. It is impossible to get a word
from them. If a few of our back number
subscribers would step in today and pay up, we will take the above number of
men or old women and make a thorough search for them. It seems impossible for our “Jumbo” in holiday toys to fade to a
mere shadow, “mama’s boy”, the druggist to be misguided and led astray, the
slim editor of this sheet to drop through a crack in the sidewalk while making
his escape to the hotel. It seems
utterly impossible for SUCH A RINK, headed by Captain “Kid” and who is commonly
called, “Ole the Scotchman.” |
