The Curling club held a meeting on Saturday evening. The committee which had been appointed to secure a site for a rink reported that they had secured the island in the rear of the city hall for ten years.  After much informal talk, Messrs. Sturtevant, Chandler, Williams, Scott and Knudsen were appointed a committee to go ahead and grade the island, lay out rink, etc., and get the land in shape for curling.  The annual meeting was appointed to be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 3hich the election of officers will take place, and new members admitted.  It is expected that the club will have about twenty active curlers this winter, and that at least four rinks will enter the great bonspiel at Milwaukee, January 14 to 18, at which prizes worth $2,500 will be played for.
