THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN December 24, 1880 The Danish Home Society held its semi-annual election of officers last Saturday evening, when the following officers were chosen for the ensuing six months: President L. Bendixen THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN July 4, 1884 D. D. H. Election The regular semi-annual election of the Danes Home took place last Saturday evening and the following officers were elected for the ensuing term: President H. J. Danfield Vice-President Hans Georgeson Recording Secretary J. L. Jensen Corresponding Secretary C. P. Dahl. Librarian and Steward W. J. Bendixen Trustees Albert Breit, Ole Larson, R Jorgensen, J. Rasmussen, W. Nelson, Adjutant A. Filter 1st Guard E. Breit 2nd Guard P. Smith The home in this city numbers about 80 members in good standing. The order is growing everywhere and wherever Homes are established they are commencing to come in the union or Grand Lodge. A society at Council Bluffs has just been admitted, and by the way, this same society suggested some years ago the desirability of forming a union, and Waupaca was the first to respond and send delegates to Racine in 1882. But the Council Bluffs Home not sending delegates were not admitted at that time. The Home here have a good property and will soon have it all clear form debt. A general slicking up and new coat of paint is about to be applied to the building, a fund already being on hand for the purpose. THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN January 2, 1885 At the Semi-Annual Election of officers of the Danes Home on Saturday evening, the following were elected: President August Filter Vice-President A. P. Nelson Recording Secretary Alfred Johnson Correspondence Secretary Albert Breit Treasurer John Yorkson Librarian and Steward W. J. Bendixen Adjutant Wm. Nelson Guards Chris Jensen and M. Christianson Trustees - H. Jorgensen, H. Georgesen, H. Danfield, M. H. Hansen, Jacob Rasmussen An amendment was adopted to the by-laws establishing a plan of aid or benefits to members who may be sick to the amount of $4 per week, besides watchers. The Home numbers about 52 active members making a very flourishing society. Another Home established in Minneapolis has just been admitted to the Union. THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN January 6, 1888 Danes Home Election At the semi-annual election of the Danes Home Thursday Dec. 29, the following officers were elected: President Alfred Johnson Vice-President Hans Nelson Recording Secretary Thorwald Nelson Cor. Dahl, Hans Madsen.
The eleventh anniversary of the establishment of the Home will be celebrated by a social at their hall this, Friday, evening. |
