Wednesday an alarm of fire was sounded about ten o’clock, which proved to have been caused by Marten’s placing dynamite on the stove to thaw out.  It took fire and Mr. Peterson knew the danger that might attend to attempting its removal, so he took t he wise course and let it burn out.  The door was opened to let out the smoke when it was seen by some passer-by who gave the fire alarm.  No damage, only a scare.
