WAUPACA REPUBLICAN

November 28, 1884

The city fathers have made arrangements for a Mansfield Steam Fire Engine worth fifteen hundred dollars. The engine will be up in a few days, and if it fills the warranty bill will be accepted. Andrew Hansen has submitted a proposition tot he Council that he will take charge of the engine, keep it in repair and ready for fires, also furnish a warm room to store it in.  The terms offered, at about one dollar per day, we believe, were accepted.  Soon Waupaca will be fixed for fighting the fire fiend.
