THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN December 24, 1880 There has been considerable talk the last few days about the finding of cloth and rags saturated with kerosene, in the rear of Perkin’s block. As we understand it from Mr. Perkins, the first package was some rags, and the last a piece of 21 yards of cotton cloth, folded as it came from the store, but saturated with kerosene. The packages were found between the block and Woodnorth’s barn, by the family of Mrs. Woodnorth. What it means or where they came from, of course no one knows except the person that put them there. |
