THE REPUBLICAN May 5, 1892 GOING TO WAUPACA Geo. W. Ghoca Buys the Vosburg House in that City. On Saturday last Geo. W. Ghoca of this city made a bargain for the Vosburg House at Waupaca, but the papers were not drawn until Wednesday of this week. Mr. Ghoca going to Waupaca for that purpose. The purchase includes the house with all its fixtures and a large barn, the price paid being about $13,000. The Vosburg House is the leading hotel of Waupaca and has always done a good business. The house contains about 40 rooms, all of which are in good condition and well furnished. Mr. Ghoca expects to take possession next Sunday. He has had several years experience in the hotel business, at Colby and as lessee of the Curran House in this city, and has always been successful, not only in that business, but in everything he has undertaken. Under his management the Vosburg will no doubt enjoy a large ad increasing patronage. The departure of Mr. Ghoca and his estimable family from this city will be universally regretted. They have been residents of Stevens Point for a number of years and in going to their new home will bear with them the best wishes of everybody. – Stevens Point Journal. |
